Yawn

I am way to tired to blog, but I decided I should anyway.

Almost two years ago we moved to Portland, two years! In 30 days we are moving out of our first Portland apartment. In 30 days we will be leaping into an already made home and we will try to make it ours for approximately one year. A year can feel like a long time, but it usually doesn’t. Is a year long enough to grow roots and will it hurt to pull those delicately new roots from the soil?

I have so enjoyed this apartment, but recently it has become a bit strange to me. The new upstairs neighbors make different noises that I am not used to, and some not so good! The back yard is becoming a jungle and suffering from lack of attention. The neighborhood is shutting me out or I am shutting it out. I am finding myself becoming frustrated with it all. Even if we had not been offered to house sit for a year, I am not sure we could have stayed anyway.

30 days begins a new journey for my little family. My lovely adorable family.

Oh yes, the count down will soon begin for the big 1 0! 10 years married. Stay tuned for how we will celebrate. Any ideas??

A weekend away- maybe the beach or Seattle? Let us know if we can help- maybe we could take Brianna for the weekend?

I know what you mean- though I miss Irvington a lot (readers- I used to be her upstairs neighbor and moved into that house with them- so I miss it too!) and I’ll always partly consider it my “hood”. New homes, new neighborhoods, they are a new adventure and you get to explore all over again. Maybe you will discover a church nearby or make friends with some people on your block. Who knows?!
And you should totally bring the plants you just put in the ground. Or hey- if there are no veg beds at the new place, consider putting them in ours! We are late on planting and we could help you keep them up and maybe trade you some of our tomatoes for some of the things your yielding! Just lemme know!

Okay, this was like an email worthy comment. Sorry!

Thanks for the excellent summary. Using content that appeals to both the right and left brain was an especially good point that isn’t addressed much. I’m a writer—content and editorial strategist for the Web—and will be sure to follow your blog and hunt you down on Twitter, too.
